Iron Man made his first appearance in March 1963 as a billionaire playboy, inventor and business magnate who was captured and forced to create a destructive weapon but instead built a powerful armoured suite that he later, after his escape, fashioned into Iron man giving him superhuman strength and the ability to fly using jetboots as well as carrying an impressive array of
weapons including missile launchers and lasers.
